Samantha sat in the common room all alone...There was no one any more...she was alone all her friends were in different houses and she had no one in her house.

Raina peeked through the doors, her eyes widening in suprise. It was a comfortable and friendly looking room with a warm crackling fire. The house colours decorated the walls, ceiling and floors. Everything was in the house colours even the cushiony couches. Feeling slightly less alone and cold (the corridors up to the house common rooms had felt as if they had been inhabited by the antarctic) Raina slipped through the doors and sunk down into one of the many couches. Sitting by the fire she closed her eyes and sighed. Patricia and Kaline had gone back home for the holidays leaving Raina to spend the holidays alone. She might have gone home too were it not for the fact that her family had gone to france for the holidays. She would have liked to go too but apparently they had forgotten her existence and had left, pausing briefly to send her a letter by owl telling her of their trip away and that she had to stay at school for the time being. Hurt and angry Raina's mood did not improve after Kaline and Patricia's departure. And now feeling terribly blue she sat mopping in the comfortable arm chair and waited till her eye lids started to flutter before heading off to a wrestless sleep. It was going to be a long holidays...
