Eric walked into the Ministry a week after school let out. He recieved an owl from the Head of Department of Mysteries to visit her. He always wanted a summer internship, but thought she would have forgotten about him. He kinds left his name at the receptionist and took a seat in the waiting room, waiting for the Head to appear.
Kriss hurried into the waiting room. "Eric! So good to see you if you'll follow me we'll start the interview." Kriss led him to an ajoining room containing two large blue armchairs and a table with tea set out for the two of them, "Take a seat. Care for some tea? Well, seeing as I taught you for some time at Durmstrang I have a good idea of your character and initiative. So I will give you this internship if you answer one question. Why do you want to work here?"
Eric was caught off guard. He was given one question to make an impression and he knew he had to give a good answer. He thought for a moment, but not too long. "Well, I have always been fascinated by what goes on in the Department of Mysteries. I have an annoying habit of always wanting to know the answer, of finding ways of knowing the answers. So, whenever the word 'mystery' or 'unsolvable' comes up, I am intrigued. I always believe that everything has an answer, we just have to look a bit harder." "I want to work here, because I have learned so much at Durmstrang that the only place I feel I can properly use my knowledge is here, in the Department of Mysteries. It's the only place that can help feed into my thirst of knowledge." Eric paused, hoping that was what she was looking for. "Oh, and because I think it would be cool to work here," he added.
Kriss smiled, "Don't be so nervous!" she said laughing, "Of course you've got the internship, you can work here anytime you'd like, so if you'll just stop by the department we can get to work. Congradulations."
"Really," Eric said, smiling for the first time since he got there. "Thanks. Yeah, I'll stop by later this week, then." He stood up and shook Kriss's hand before heading out.
